Hey all,

I got my May copy of "Keith Martin's: Sports Car Market" this week and was VERY suprised and happy to see a full page review of Lambrettas scooters in the 'Bike Buys' column (p102).

Some quotes:

"Top speed approached 70mph, a daunting thought on 1960's rubber just ten inches in diameter."

"Lambrettas can cost as little as $1000 for a tired rat, or up to $7500 for a nice example."

"While you could certainly shell out similar money for a brand new Ve5p4, a nice vintage Li will carry far more street cred than Pieggio's bourgeoisie toy and be just as useable for cross-town traffic."

It's a good article that mostly covers the history of Lambretta and has some good links for websites (WCLW, Cambridge Lambretta, and our own Lambretta.org) and Mau Spencer from Twist & Go and Scooterist Scene magazine gives some advice as well.

If you don't know this magazine and you like old cars of just about any type, this magazine is the crack! Once I get one in the mail I find myself reading next to the mailbox for a while before I actually move inside.
